Winstone hired to market VW commercial vehicles

It has been announced that Sexy Beast star Ray Winstone is to front a radio campaign for Volkswagen, promoting their vehicles.
The series of adverts will be heard at the end of traffic bulletins, so are likely to be heard by many in the haulage industry listening for developments in road conditions.
Volkswagen marketing official Ralf Schueler said: "With his gravelly authority and reputation for straight talking, Ray Winstone is the perfect spokesman."
Ray Winstone appeared in the recent Beowulf film and cinema goers may know he is expected to appear in the upcoming Indiana Jones film.
Haulage companies are offered services from the commercial vehicle outlet of Volkswagen, which last year enjoyed its eighth consecutive year of increased sales.
Freight and road haulage companies may be interested to know that the company sold 30,427 vehicles in 2007, as well as exporting vans from its UK base.
