Freight haulage driver is 'good Samaritan'

Date: 18 January 2008

A 'good Samaritan' freight haulage driver has come to the aid of a biker who badly needed help.

The logistics driver was driving his freight haulage truck in Bury St Edmunds when he saw a motorbike driver who had come off his bike on the Southgate roundabout, Suffolk and Essex Online reports.

He helped the poor man, who had a suspected broken arm, to safety, and called 999. The emergency services then arrived and took the man to the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury.

It just goes to show that freight haulage drivers are good blokes, and there have also been a great number of celebrities who have worked behind the wheel of a logistics truck.

They include Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? presenter Chris Tarrant, actors Chevy Chase and Sean Connery, and the King of rock 'n' roll himself Elvis Presley.
