Renault aims at couriers with new ranges
Date: 11 January 2008
Couriers and other owner drivers will have more choice when thinking about upgrading to a new vehicle after Renault revealed that it was set to launch a host of updated vans.
The company revealed the Venture special edition of its Kangoo van in 2007 and said that its popularity with people such as couriers and owner drivers meant that it would now launch the 'Extra' special edition.
According to the company, this new model is excellent for the small business user, as it is available with either a 1.6 petrol 75hp or 1.5 dCi 70hp engine. For couriers and owner drivers who spend most of their day in their vehicle, the new models come with a host of comforts, including air conditioning with pollen filter and a 30W RDS radio-CD with fingertip control.
In addition, Renault revealed another model, the Trafic Sport van, which it thinks will let couriers and owner drivers "mix business with pleasure".
A statement from the company added that the vehicle was "well equipped enough to cope with any type of cargo", and perfect for "urban and motorway delivery loads".
