German truck manufacturer Man has unveiled a new range of trucks designed for distribution and long distance haulage work.

Website logisticsmanager.com reports that the company has invested €100 million in the development of the new vehicles, which come with D20 and D26 EGR common rail engines at ratings of 320 to 480hp.

The distribution model has been designated TGS, while the long distance haulage one has the code TGX.

Three cab options are available for both models and they have a lightweight design.

What's more, Man has improved the comfort for haulage drivers, as the interior noise levels have been reduced by 25 per cent. Air throughput in the cab has also been increased by 20 per cent.

The website quotes Man chief executive Des Evans as saying: "The basic TGS models are tailored for short-haul and distribution sectors and construction, while the TGX is right at home in long-haul and international operations."
