Knights becomes part of UKW

Knights & Co, an insolvency management company that specialises in the freight and haulage industry, has joined a newly formed insolvency firm called UKW, Materials Handling World reports.
Knights was founded in the early 1990s and had its administrative base in Salisbury. Its "experienced team" is "able to deal with the full spectrum of insolvency matters".
UKW has its headquarters in Salisbury and other branches in London, Chichester and Portsmouth, with services including liquidations, administrations, receiverships, corporate rescue, personal insolvency, debt collection and investigations.
Barry Knights, the chairman of UKW, said: "A major part of what we do is attendance at meetings of creditors on behalf of our clients. But UKW also exists to advise on all aspects of insolvency, debt recovery, financial planning and business recovery. We aim to help businesses to perform more efficiently and profitably at the end of the day."
He also recognised the problems faced by many in the freight forwarding and logistics field.
"These are challenging times, especially for business with all the regulations that now have to be complied with," he said. "UKW are here to help and to advise the freight and haulage industry on all aspects relating to business financial difficulties."
UKW's other directors are Simon Underwood and Kevin Weir.
